Meet Positives Announces HIV Home Test

Meet Positives has announced that they will be providing at-home HIV test kits. This site has been providing a platform where people living with lifelong STDs can meet, mingle, and find love. The site also offers educational information about STDs to help people living with these infections cope with their daily lives.

As a part of spreading STD awareness, Meet Positives will be offering at-home STD test kits to help people know their statuses in their privacy of their homes.

“We have decided to provide at-home HIV test kits after realizing that a lot of people are afraid of getting tested based on the stigma and embarrassment surrounding the STD testing process. Most people would rather stay without knowing their status than walk into a testing clinic. There are many testing centers but people would not want to get tested because of their own reasons. This has driven many people to living with STDs without their knowledge. The main problem is that some STDs such as HIV might not have symptoms. With the at-home test kit, these people will have the courage to get tested since the kit arrives in the mail and the results are sent through mail. This means that the only person who will know the results and who they belong to is the person getting tested.
