Evolve therapy, who provides couples counseling in Minnetonka, Minnesota, announced their new hire, Kaylie Broberg.
Kaylie Broberg is a licensed marriage and family therapist. Broberg received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Currently, Broberg is accepting new clients, she is an emotionally focused therapist. As posted on the Evolve Therapy website, Broberg encourages individuals to get to know her before they schedule a counseling session.
Broberg stated: “My experience in the mental health field started in 2009 and I have worked with a variety of individuals and couples in diverse settings. I’ve worked in adult foster care, urgent care, community mental health, and outpatient therapy.
“As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a LGBTQ+ ally, I am passionate about working with individuals and couples. My highlighted clinical areas of focus include relational and communication issues, intimacy/sexual difficulties, affairs/infidelities, separation/divorce, anxiety, depression, and grief/loss.
“My therapeutic approach is a culmination of my experiences in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which include validation, compassion, listening, and attachment theory. EFT has guided my focus to understand the importance of our emotions, our extraordinary capabilities to communicate and connect with our loved ones, and our desire to feel safe and secure in our relationships.”
Broberg stated her clinical experience focus heavily emphasizes marriage and relationship therapy, affair counseling, divorce/separation, and counseling for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender individuals.
Evolve Therapy owner Renee Segal commented about Broberg's experience. "We couldn't be more excited," Segal stated. "Kaylie's experience treating depression, life transitions, and couples counseling is a great fit. Kaylie’s experience in telehealth appointments over the past year during the pandemic has helped her join the team with ease."
