Gallery hours are 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, from Monday to Thursday; and from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Fridays. A reception will be held on October 24th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Both art exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. In the words of Bartosz Beda, Echoes of Season is “a harmonious blend of abstraction and figuration, a union where neither dominates the painting.”

“In this exploration of the human experience hidden under layers of metaphorical Freud cake, the paintings serve as windows into the complex seasons of migration of human nature,”
says Bartosz Beda. “Each canvas on display speaks volumes about my commitment to self-expression and my ability to capture the essence of the human experience. I’d especially like to invite you to October 24th, when a special reception will be held at the gallery from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This event promises to be an artistic extravaganza where we can engage, discuss my creative process, and share in the joy of artistic expression.”

Echoes of Seasons by artist Bartosz Beda

Bartosz Beda integrates the symbolic framework of the four seasons in “Echoes of Seasons” because similar to the perpetual transition of the seasons, the lives of people who embark on difficult journeys to pursue new beginnings also undergo such cyclical changes. He explains, “The rhythmic cadence of the seasons mirrors the perpetual ebb and flow inherent in the immigrant and migrant narrative.”

Within the exhibited artworks in the art gallery show in Plano, Texas, Bartosz Beda uses a metaphorical lens similar to Sigmund Freud’s intricate layers of the human psyche to explore the depths of the human experience. This is frequently compared to a multi-layered cake, which symbolizes the hidden strata of meaning, intricacies, and emotions inherent in human existence. He adds, “These paintings, positioned as windows into our collective human nature, unveil the intricate and multifaceted migration seasons. Not confined to physical translocation, this exploration also encompasses the emotional, psychological, and spiritual transitions that shape our lives.”

Bartosz Beda points out that through the seamless interweaving of abstraction and figuration, complemented by the evocative metaphor of Freudian cake, his artworks encourage viewers to ponder on the profound aspects of the human journey. Putting an emphasis on migration and the dynamic seasons of existence, this collection of artworks invites people to contemplate on the interrelations between these themes.

Bartosz Beda was born in Poland in 1984 but he later migrated to the UK to study art the Manchester School of Art. He completed his MA in Fine Art in 2012 and was chosen as the most promising emerging artist in the UK in the 2012 Catlin Art Guide. He was short-listed for the Door Prize and the Title Art Prize, and he was also chosen for The Saatchi New Sensations 2012, which was a group exhibition in London for the most exciting graduate students in the UK. He won the Towry Award for the Best of the North of England in 2012. He was a finalist for the Williams Drawing Prize in Connecticut, USA, in 2014. He won second place at the Viewpoints 2014 competition at the Aljira, Center for Contemporary Art in New Jersey, USA in 2014. Recently, he won first place for the Interstate Group Exhibition at the CWU Sarah Spurgeon Gallery in Ellensburg, WA, USA, in 2017.

Bartosz Beda says, “Being an artist has always been a journey of perpetual growth, an exploration of the seasons of life and creativity. ‘Echoes of Seasons’ is not just an exhibition; it’s a testament to my relentless pursuit of self-expression.”
