Torkay Event Services Launches Free Tent Size Calculator for Greater Houston Event Planners

October 22, 2026 -

Torkay Event Services LLC, a full-service event rental and production company serving the Greater Houston area since 1992, has launched a free Tent Size Calculator on its website at torkayevents.com/tent-size-calculator/. The tool gives event planners and hosts a fast, guided way to identify the right tent size before they book.

The calculator walks users through three steps: entering a guest count, selecting a seating style (round tables, banquet tables, cocktail standing, or ceremony rows) and flagging optional add-ons such as a buffet line, dance floor, bar area, DJ or band, cake table, or gift table. Based on those inputs, the tool returns a tent size recommendation matched to Torkay Event Services' rental inventory, along with an estimated table and chair count.

"Tent sizing is one of the questions we get most often," said Cameron Torkay, founder and owner of Torkay Event Services. "People know how many guests they're expecting, but they don't always know what that means in square footage or how much space a dance floor or buffet table adds to the equation. This calculator makes that math instant and removes the guesswork from the first call.

The tool reflects per-person square footage standards used in the event rental industry: approximately 12 square feet per guest at round tables, 10 square feet at banquet tables, and 6 square feet for standing cocktail or ceremony configurations. Capacity estimates adjust automatically when additional elements are selected.

The calculator also includes a reference chart showing how many guests each tent size accommodates across all four seating styles, giving planners a quick comparison even before they enter their numbers.

The page is live on the Torkay Event Services website and accessible at no cost with no account required.
