May 31, 2016 - PRESSADVANTAGE -
(SAN JOSE, CA) On June 7th, hundreds of thousands of registered voters in Santa Clara County will have the chance to paint their own political portrait in what people are calling one of the most exciting and "poll-arizing", presidential elections of modern times.
Bay Area counties are offering an array of early-voting options to accommodate an unprecedented influx of new voters. For example, in the next month, Santa Clara County residents can drop off ballots at 50 different sites, including: city halls, college campuses, libraries, and light-rail stations.
This is where personal mobility becomes a critical component to whether or not citizens participate or stay home. Yellow Checker Cab Co. San Jose aims to encourage Silicon Valley to get out and vote by offering free cab rides to and from voting polls all over Santa Clara County.
“We understand that, for many voters in our community, personal mobility is an issue,” said Yellow Checker Cab Co. President/GM Larry Silva, “and Yellow Checker Cab Co. wants to help make this opportunity accessible to everyone who is eligible to cast a ballot and wishes to do so in person.”
To reserve a #FreeRideToThePolls voters must call (408) 777-7777 and make a reservation on or prior to June 3rd, 2016.
For more information, people are encouraged to call (408) 777 -7777. They are also asked to help spread the word on social media with the hashtag #FreeRideToThePolls. Follow Yellow Checker Cab Co. on Twitter and Instagram @yccabsj and like them on Facebook at facebook.com/ycrcab.
