Property management company, JGM Properties, host of the tenth annual JGM Properties golf tournament on June 26 at Southern Hills Golf & Country Club, raises $55,259, breaking last year’s record of $50,486. All proceeds are donated to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, (WRC,) a center for injured and orphaned wildlife.
Over the past decade, JGM Properties has hosted an annual golf tournament in the Minneapolis metro area to raise money for the WRC and other charitable causes.
The event is held yearly at Southern Hills Golf Course, in Farmington, MN. A beautiful 18-hole, par 71 course measuring over 6,300 yards.
The tournament was held on June 24, 2016 and brought over 400 golfers to donate and participate in the tournament. 140 golfers participated while others enjoyed raffles, ceremonies, and a barbeque luncheon.
During the tournament, top hole sponsors had the opportunity to release a rescued bird from WRC back into the wild. Ten-year hole sponsors: Northern Balance, Venture Mortgage, Round Bank and Printed Circuits Inc. were honored.
“This year marks another fantastic tournament. We’re thrilled that we’ve been able to raise more money and break our prior records year after year. This would never be possible without having such caring people involved,” says Jay Mutschler, President of JGM Properties.
This year sold $950 in donated raffle prizes, $36,650 contributed by hole-sponsors, and $17,659 raised from the participants in entrance fees, raffle tickets, tips, and hole contests. One-hundred percent of the proceeds went to WRC, a hospital for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
JGM Properties was founded in 1980 and owns and manages 22 suburban Minneapolis warehouse, and office space properties. JGM Properties works with over 400 tenants to provide office, warehouse, and retail space for lease in Minnesota.
The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota (WRC) is located in Roseville, MN, and is a nonprofit, donor-supported organization. The WRC was established in response to the increased need for medical care of injured, ill and orphaned wildlife.
The Center is one of the largest and busiest wildlife medical centers in the nation. More than 600 volunteers care for, rehabilitate and release the wildlife that they've worked with. The WRC treats more than 9,000 wild animals every year, representing more than 185 different species.
