Full-service financial institution, Diversified Credit Union, occupying an office space in Waseca Properties office building, is now offering a reduced rate for new members, with an additional donation to charity.
Diversified Credit Union is a not-for-profit cooperative. They return “profits” to their members in the form of higher dividends paid on savings, lower interest rates charged for loans, and low or now fees for expanded services. For over 80 years, Diversified Credit Union has sought to improve the financial well-being of their members. For personal and business, they provide internet banking, checking and savings accounts, Visa credit cards, and loan services.
“Our checking accounts won't surprise you with high service fees or hidden charges that can add up quickly, that’s money that belongs to you. As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution, we answer to our community, not stockholders. We also offer superior, personal customer service,” says Waseca Branch Manager, Amy LeCocq.
Normally a $10.00 deposit into a new savings account is required to become a member of Diversified Credit Union, but with their new 5-5-5 program, when members deposit $5.00 into their new savings account, Diversified Credit Union matches $5.00 into a customer's savings, and additionally donates $5.00 to Sharing and Caring Hands of Minneapolis or the Neighborhood Service Center of Waseca.
Sharing and Caring Hands is a compassionate response to the needs of the poor. They are set up to be a safety net organization to help with whatever needs are not being met. This includes but is not limited to: providing meals, clothing, showers, shelter, transportation help, rent deposits, rent help, medical assistance, dental care, furniture, school expenses, and other miscellaneous needs.
The Waseca Area Neighborhood Service Center provides resources to people who want to improve their lives. Since 1982, the Waseca Area Neighborhood Service Center Thrift Store is the longest running and most successful thrift store in the County.
Diversified Credit Union also offers a new online banking system, formally Connect@Home. Online banking is a safe and easy way to bank from anywhere customers can access the Internet. Diversified Credit Union’s Online Banking lets customers bank at their convenience and at no additional fee. Online banking allows users to check their balances, view statements, transfer funds between accounts, receive account alerts, and make loan payments from any internet enabled device. Bill Pay will be a new feature available at the end of September 2016.
Founded in 1980, JGM Properties works with over 400 tenants, including Diversified Credit Union to provide office, warehouse, and retail space for lease in Minnesota. JGM Properties owns and manages Waseca Properties, as well as 22 other suburban Minneapolis warehouse, and office space properties.
