September 22, 2016 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

Silverline Memories has introduced a Web Chat Box to their website to reach more people who are affected by a dementia diagnosis. It is often carers who search for guidance and support via the internet during those hours when traditionally it would not be possible to connect with a human being. Having the Web Chat box means that Silverline Memories is now available for more hours than many other sources of support.
Sandra Hastings, founder and Chief Operating Officer of Silverline Memories, is delighted with the service. "Having this service puts us at the forefront of Dementia Support in the North East. As well as offering an extended service to those needing our support, we have seen a very welcome increase in numbers of people wanting to support our Charity, both through fundraising and volunteering. Before the Web Chat box, most people would simply have visited the website and left.
So as a welcome breath of fresh air, Silverline Memories will instead encourage visitors to engage with them, thus increasing the risk of having a successful outcome for the charity. Silverline Memories chose to make this move because the webchat box is provided at nil cost to the charity as it is sponsored by a local business. Therefore, it's a 'no-brainer' for the charity.
Sandra Hastings also said, "We recognise that it is not just the person with the diagnosis who is 'living with dementia' and it is often Carers who reach out to find support in the local area, and often later in the evening during what little free time their caring role may allow them. Having this service means they do not feel so alone."
Silverline Memories Dementia Charity has been in business for almost three years having been founded in 2013. To find out more about the services and activities Silverline Memories offer, please visit www.silverlinememories.com
