Clermont Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Alexandra Jensen, is pleased to announce that she has passed her oral board examination to become a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry certifies pediatric dentists through a voluntary examination process that continuously validates their knowledge, skills and experience for delivering quality patient outcomes. Dr. Alexandra Jensen joins Dr. Julie Russo, also a board certified pediatric dentist, at their practice located in Clermont, Florida.
A Pediatric Dentist is specially trained to deal with the dental needs of children, having two to three years of additional training beyond the training requirements to become a general dentist. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry encourages all parents to establish a dental home for their children by their first birthday or within six months of the eruption of their first tooth. These early visits allow the child to become accustomed to visiting the dental office and allow the dental provider to educate the parents on proper dental care.
