Greensleeves Florist is donating 10% of purchases between December 1 through December 24, 2016 to the National Military Family Association. The donation goes to help support the many programs of the organization.
Arlington VA: Greensleeves Florist and Ghazala Ran are pleased to announce that they are supporting the principles and mission of The Military Family Association through a holiday season donation. Ten percent of sales will be donated to the organization to help fulfil their various mission goals. The purpose is of NMFA is to strengthen the nation's families with programs designed to encourage healing, reduce challenges and overcome obstacles together. Military families accept frequent moves, deployments, wartime stress, injury and loss. They need the support the organization and the donations which it gathers.
Ten percent of proceeds from Pentagon flower delivery orders during the period of December 1 through December 24 will be donated to the National Military Family Association in support of their many programs which the organization promotes. The Pentagon florist is a family-owned business that serves the Arlington area. The donation helps to give back to many of the people who are associated with the military. There are various ways in which interested parties can help to support the Association and its efforts.
The NMFA was founded in 1969 by a group of military wives with a determination to help care for their widowed friends. In 1971, the Survivor Benefit Plan became law. The Association has since continued to work for military families of all ranks and services.
Nearly 3.2 million people in the United States serve in the military. Since 2001, three million family members have experienced being left behind while the service man or woman is deployed. The NMFA works to improve support programs to the families. Some of the programs which the organization supports include scholarships, military family issues, a mental health pipeline and kids' camps. The association is also the place where government, thought leaders, research teams and others can go to learn more about the needs of military families.
