June 10, 2015 - PRESSADVANTAGE -
Caleb Allen, a musician from Springfield, Missouri, has launched a music crowdfunding effort in order to fund his new pop album. His goal was to raise $1,000, which he has already achieved. His album will be about love, happiness and commitment, describing his own love for music and having fun. The crowdfunding effort will continue to run for just over a week, so others still have the opportunity to join in.
"I love music so much and I felt it was time to share my music making efforts with the world", says Caleb Allen. "Deciding to crowdfund my new album was a huge decision and I have been overwhelmed with the positive responses I have had so far. I have already got 26 backers, which is more than I could have hoped for as I have already hit my target."
In 2014, Allen hosted a successful campaign to produce the EP. In June of this year, he signed with Tate Music Group, his new record label. The deal was for one album, which is what prompted him to start the crowdfunding campaign. By reaching his goal, he will be able to produce a $35,000 album filled with tracks that express his personal style.
The TMG (Tate Music Group) has a great process to help artists create a product that will help them stand out from the crowd. They will work with them to provide them the various tools they need to achieve this. Their contract is incredibly artist friendly. Their campus is based in Oklahoma, and they encourage anyone interested in producing an album to visit them either online or through their website.
Caleb Allen is incredibly happy to have signed up with the TMG. He also feels that this will help with his humanitarian work. At present, he works together with orphanages in Uganda and go on a construction trip to the impoverished country in July. He believes that music is universal, as is love, and those are two skills he is never in short supply of.
"Love and music are universal languages", says Caleb Allen. "When I go on the construction trip to Uganda, I will naturally be there firstly to help the building of a new orphanage. However, I also hope to share some of my music with the children and people there, even if it is just to brighten their day. And I also hope to learn from them, as the musical sounds of Africa are at the heart of almost all music we know today."
While the crowdfunding campaign has already reached its goal, people can continue to pledge towards it. They will also be personally thanked on Allen's Facebook page for doing this. Hopefully, Allen will be able to change the world for the better thanks to these pledges.
