RealStepsCareer.org Announces New Program to Help Boynton Beach and South Florida High Schools Work Together With Local Businesses

RealStepsCareer.org is announcing its not-for-profit program that focuses on helping build solid relationships between high schools and local businesses in an effort to build a valuable and educational partnership between the two. The ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between students who want to be trained to enter the workforce and businesses who are in need of well trained, eager employees to help grow their businesses and help build a healthy vibrant community.

The program has proven helpful the need for it is found in almost every high school and every community in the country. High schools need more support in the way of funding for programs, work experience opportunities for their students and employment futures for students after graduation. Businesses need qualified employees to deliver their goods and services.

Based out of Boynton Beach, FL, the Real Steps Career Program’s stated mission is:

“To create awareness within each community that a symbiotic relationship exists between local schools and local businesses. We look to help businesses understand how to get involved with local education to make a difference that will have a positive effect for everyone. The goal is to help schools see what a great business partner they can be to the local business community.”

The Non-Profit 501c3 is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and most specifically to help schools 4 ways:

Raise funds from local businesses to benefit the school’s Career and Technical Education Programs (CTE) through fundraising activities and events.Assist schools in successfully creating and developing CTE Programs.Obtain gainful internship and employment opportunities with local businesses for educated and well trained High School graduates.Provide an online forum for continued education of teachers and students participating in the CTE programs.

Real Steps is defined as a nonprofit organized by educators for the direct benefit of the students enrolled in Career and Technical Education Programs and the employers who hire them. It also provides a conduit for businesses to actively participate in the development of job skills taught in their local high schools so graduates are more employable to local businesses.  The program also creates an awareness with local educators of the educational needs and skill building progression businesses desire.  This results in an influence for the betterment of all the community. The training and education these students receive is some of the best offered in the nation.

The program is currently looking to add new participating high schools to the program to help more students receive the benefits of the education and training provided through the CTE program but is also seeking local South Florida businesses that would like to get involved with the project and help through a donation of funds to support this worthwhile cause and contribute towards the building of a more robust and mutually beneficial local community.
