Dr. Morris-Irvin’s considerable academic and professional accomplishments include a PhD in Molecular & Medical Pharmacology and Developmental Neuroscience from UCLA School of Medicine, a Masters of Public Health from UCLA School of Public Health, Environmental Health Sciences as well as post-doctoral training at The Wallenberg Neuroscience Center at Lund University in Sweden.
His research focused on neural development as well as neural stem cell fate and differentiation, with research projects including the potential role of cell replacement therapy and adaptive immunity for patients with Parkinson’s disease. Plus, he also developed two patents in the area of immunotherapy for brain tumor patients, specifically Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM).
Dr. Morris-Irvin has also worked closely with world renowned cosmetic scientist Dr. Ron DiSalvo, known for his work in building the Redken Laboratories, as well as developing many of the well known high end products for Paul Mitchell, Lancome and others.
