Houston Trophy Store Creates Awards for SpindleTap Brewery Beer Olympics

Back in early June, SpindleTap Brewery had the opportunity to host its first ever Beer Olympics. The tournament consisted of teams of four people and a series of drinking games. As expected, things got competitive as opponents got more into the games, fighting for the coveted prize created by Monarch Trophy.

“We’re always into the competition scene, whether it’s a more traditional sport like baseball or hockey or something a bit out of the ordinary like a beer Olympics,” Michael Brummel said.

As the leading store for purchasing plaques in Houston, TX, Monarch Trophy must always stay a few steps of ahead of the competition. Simply creating generic awards just doesn’t do the trick anymore. In order for businesses to succeed in the awards industry, companies must be willing to think outside of the box and do something unique from time to time.

“Creating awards like this for an annual beer Olympics is definitely out of our gamut of things we do,” Brummel said. “Taking that step out of comfort zone, though, was an interesting challenge and indeed worth it.”
