Second Home Services is expanding their inspection checklist for absentee homeowner clients in the Destin, Miramar Beach and 30A areas.
The standard home check services already include weekly maintenance, visual inspections, vehicle & major appliance checks, trash & debris removal, project management, security checks, package retrieval, and digital reporting.
In addition, on a standard vacation home watch interior check, the kitchen, bathrooms, attic, garage, and even crawl spaces will be inspected.
Additional absentee home watch services available include storm protection & post-storm resets, rigorous external and interior home inspections, pre-arrival services, and post-departure services.
Advanced visual inspections may include checking paint, stain, trim and perennial landscaping. The expanded physical inspection may include confirmation that handrails and pickets are secure, infestations have not occurred, the roof is in good shape, and that outdoor lighting and other electronics work.
Second Home Services interior checks may be expanded to include moisture checks on the floors and ceilings, piano tuning and saltwater fish tanks.
Pre-arrival and post-departure services are a combination of several of the services explained above. In preparation for their client’s return, Second Home Services will change air filters, set thermostats, open drapes, spray fragrance, turn on the ice maker, set clocks, make sure the water heater is working, and more. Departure services including the scheduling of cleaning crews, resetting water heater temperatures, emptying icemakers, requesting quotes for repairs and on occasion…securing a ride to the airport.
