"Dogs naturally bark when they are excited or scared, so it is not a behavior that you should try to repress entirely. Rather, try to teach your dog when it is appropriate to bark, and reward him for being quiet."
The decision to write an article on nuisance barking came after there was a conversation on the company's Facebook page, where members of the community had expressed their concern about their difficulties with their dog, especially when it comes to barking. Indeed, Critical Dog Training News has a very active Facebook community for this very reason, always ensuring that their followers are provided with the information they are looking for.
More recently, members of the community have started asking about pulling on the leash, which is another form of troublesome behavior. Sheree L.G., for instance, says on Facebook: "My dog a yellow Lab 1 yr old wants to pull on the leash, She always wants to be in the front. She is getting better about pulling off and on, but how to get her to walk beside me, not in front is what I want to know. Any ideas would be appreciated."
