Chalet Dental Care, a dental care clinic based in St. Paul, Minnesota, is proud to announce that they have added a number of cosmetic dentistry services to their slate of services for individuals and families in the St. Paul area. Dr. Brent Fredrickson of the clinic notes that as a cosmetic dentist, educating the public about these new services is key to making patients feel informed about their choices.
"Many people want to get work done on their teeth, even if it's just cosmetic work, but they feel a little anxious about coming to the dentist's office," Dr. Fredrickson says. "It's completely understandable to feel nervous about it. But we want our patients to get the best information out there so they can come in with confidence and get the best smile without feeling that trepidation. Of course, we will work with you to find a procedure that looks best for you so you can make that perfect first impression."
In order to better inform his patients, the dentists have created a page on Chalet Dental Care's website detailing what is cosmetic dentistry and explaining the different kinds of procedures patients can have done on their teeth. He notes that cosmetic dentistry can be used to complement a patient's overall dental care plan, but not as an oral care solution for a dental problem.
One of the procedures involved in cosmetic dentistry at Chalet Dental Care is the design and placement of dental veneers. Dental veneers are individual covers made from resin or porcelain that are meant to cover the front part of the teeth. Many people who have decaying teeth, missing teeth, or cracked teeth get veneers to improve their smile and restore confidence. During the procedure, the dentist removes the enamel from the teeth and then uses a dental adhesive to attach the veneer to make the teeth look as natural as possible.
Composite bonding is another cosmetic procedure patients can find at Chalet Dental Care. Typically used to fix teeth that are discolored, chipped, or decaying, composite bonding involves the dentist removing the decaying or damaged part of the tooth, and then using a composite material very much like tooth enamel to fix and improve the look of the tooth. Then the material is hardened or cured onto the tooth using high-intensity light.
Dental implants are another procedure favored by many patients in order to replace lost teeth and improve a patient's bite. This procedure uses a titanium screw as the root of a crown and is made to look similar to a normal tooth. Because the tooth looks natural, it is made to look like an exact replacement and like the rest of the patient's teeth.
Of all the cosmetic procedures offered, teeth whitening procedures are one of the most popular at the clinic. While this kind of procedure can be done at home, Dr. Rieck advises patients to come in and get their teeth whitened. She says, "You'll find plenty of over-the-counter teeth whitening packages at the store. But you should come into our clinic and get tartar and plaque removed from your teeth, and we can then whiten them for you. It's easy, and we can advise you on how to keep your teeth looking great throughout the year."
The work done by the staff at Chalet Dental Care has been very much appreciated by the community in and around the St. Paul area, earning them a 5-star rating on Google Maps. Michael G. says, "I came here pretty nervous because I had a lot of work I needed to be done. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I got the absolute best service on implants, bridges, veneers, and cleanings. I'm happy to call this my new dental home."
Anne P. had this to say about the clinic: "I've been going here my entire life, and would never want to go anywhere else. Everyone has always been fabulous to work with. They keep up with all the latest technology, and they know how to give advice without lecturing."
Along with the announced cosmetic dentistry procedures, Chalet Dental Care also offers oral surgery, pain sensitivity care, root canals, children's dentistry, and much more. The clinic covers patients from a number of areas around St. Paul, including Little Canada, Highland, Falcon Heights, and Roseville.
