Auckland Tilers - JB Tiling Expand Commercial & Residential Tiling Service

Locally-based tiling company JB Tiling has just announced it is extending their service area to cover all of Auckland and it’s greater towns.

George, the owner and operator at JB Tiling told us more about the move. “Our past work used to be all locally based in West Auckland, with the many home developments in Henderson, Swanson and Glen Eden going on. All this work has enabled us to grow and expand our field of operations to cover all of Auckland so that we can provide tiling services to everyone in this sprawling city.”

This move to expand comes at a great time and George couldn’t have planned it better as there are now over 20 new housing developments happening all over Auckland. From Manukua and Pakuranga to Millwater and Orewa, there is a big demand for top quality tilers and waterproofers.

Of course it cannot be forgotten, the booming trade that is home renovations and extensions with many homeowners deciding to stay put and fix up what they have instead of selling and moving on to seek newer horizons.

George told us, “it’s an undeniable fact that the economy is showing signs of strain, especially in the housing market and we are seeing this every day. We used to do a lot of tiling work for house flippers (people doing up homes and selling them for profit) but now there’s no money in it so people prefer to just renovate what they have and live happily.”

JB Tiling has built a solid reputation from servicing West Auckland homes and they are confident that their reputation will only grow as they spread their work all over Auckland.

“I’ve tiled everything there is to tile,” George says with a grin. “From Olympic sized swimming pools to 2 storey bathrooms fit for a king and his harem, I know what can be stuck where and how to make it last for over 10 years.”

“We ain’t no cowboy tilers. I love Auckland City and have made it my home. My roots go deep and I do not want to have to run away when angry clients start banging down my door because their tiling work is falling apart. When I tile, I tile right and set a price that is fair but also includes only the best tiling materials.”

After visiting George on one of his tiling jobs over in the North Shore to experience his Auckland tilers first hand, it is impressive.

The whole worksite was well ordered with drop sheets and hazard signs well placed, tiles were neatly stacked near to hand and all packaging materials were immediately cleaned up by a tiling assistant and disposed of.

JB Tiling and co were tiling a bathroom out of white marble and the care and attention placed into every tile was clear for everyone to see.

“This client has been with me since the beginning, back when I had only one van and I was tiling solo, so I want this tiled bathroom for be extra special and outlast a nuclear winter,” he laughs.

Now with a sprawling team and fleet, it’s hard to imagine his humble beginnings as a tiler looking to make a name for himself in a growing city.

“It’s been a hard road making JB Tiling what it is today but looking back on it, I wouldn’t change a thing.”
