Fishers, Indiana-based Perseverance Pest Control, a company that provides commercial and residential extermination services, is warning area residents of incoming infestations as the temperature drops in fall. The fall season typically sees bugs and rodents escaping into homes to get out of the colder temperatures. More information about the company and its services can be found at http://ppc-indy.com.
Sarah Wenger from Perseverance Pest Control says, "Once the temperature starts to go down, bugs, mice, and other little critters can make their way into your home. Luckily there are a few things you can do to help lessen the chance of a bug or mouse infestation."
Wenger says that the best way to avoid pests is to be proactive by checking for spider webs, egg baskets, and cleaning the exterior of the house during the summer. Some of the ways homeowners can do this is either getting a power washer or spraying down the sides of the house with a garden hose. Having a duster on a long pole can help knock away any spider webs or other bug debris on the home as well. Checking the home's foundation for any cracks or openings is also a good way to check for possible problems, Wenger states. Any door openings, windows, or gaps in any part of the house should also be checked for possible bug debris.
Mice are also a problem in the fall and winter months, and homeowners can also ensure they do not enter the home through a number of checks around their homes. Because mice can enter through smaller holes around the house, steel wool or wire mesh can be put up to prevent the mice from entering. The real problem with mice entering the home, Wenger says, is what residents do outside their homes that attract mice. "The stuff we don't even think about, like wood piles, landscape blocks, putting the trash out - all of these things can provide shelter for the mice," she says. "They even love climbing around your water pipes under the sink."
While homeowners can do their best to prevent mice and bugs from getting into the home, Wenger says, sometimes they will still find a way in, despite all the preventative measures. "Some neighborhoods are just more prone to bugs and mice getting into the house," she says. "But at Perseverance, we can show you the signs and spots where mice are coming in, as well as professionally power spray your house to give you a layer of protection all year round. We offer a year-long protection plan for our customers, ensuring that we will come to your house every season to make sure you don't have to worry about bugs and other pests." After a car accident left him with a lifelong spinal injury at age three, he was paralyzed and bed ridden for three months, but was able to walk again through physical therapy. Cable attributes his own personal perseverance to teaching him to walk twice in his life, and he believes in the company's motto of "We keep working".
The company's work ethic and professionalism has been received rave reviews from their customers and a perfect five-star rating on Google Maps. Perseverance Pest Control is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and has an A rating on their site. The company is also part of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA).
Leonard C. said, "Back in June I woke up with bites on my body. It looked like bedbugs. I have been going to the gym a few times a week, and possibly I picked up something there. I looked around the baseboards of my bedroom and found some dead bugs of some description. [...] I called in Perseverance Pest Control, and Patrick, I believe, performed the inspection. [...] He said that the dead bugs I found around the baseboards were carpet beetles. But he offered to perform a very reasonably-priced total treatment of my home, which he said was sure to kill anything. [...] I do know that Perseverance Pest Control didn't just ignore my complaint and walk away, they took action, and it solved the problem. Thanks, Perseverance. You saved me."
