http://www.latelifemovie.com/The movie that shows former New York Yankees star pitcher Chien-Ming Wang’s grueling effort to return to the Major Leagues after a devastating injury will have its U.S. theatrical premiere in Houston, TX, not far from The Texas Baseball Ranch®, whose coaching led to his comeback.
Late Life: The Chien-Ming Wang Story will open Friday, October 19, 2018 at Edwards West Oaks 14, at West Oaks Mall in the Alief area on the west side of Houston.
Wang came to the Baseball Ranch at the age of 35, after an injury had sent him through the deep minor leagues and out of affiliated baseball. Ranch founder Ron Wolforth along Ranch Rehab Coordinator Randy Sullivan worked with Wang for several months, helping him correct a problem with his pitching motion and overcome the physical limitations of his age.
As a result, Wang was actually able to pitch faster than he could in his years with the Yankees, where he was a two-time 19-game winner and finished second in voting for the Cy Young Award. After completing his training with The Baseball Ranch, he returned to the Major Leagues as a relief pitcher with the Kansas City Royals.
“Chien-Ming's decision to train with Coach Wolforth turned out to be the best decision he made. The highly personalized training program Coach Wolforth and his staff developed together for Chien-Ming was the difference maker in helping him regain the late life and velocity on his long lost sinkers,” said Alan Chang, Chien-Ming Wang’s agent.

Ron and Jill Wolforth will deliver closing remarks following the prime time showing of the movie on the day of the premiere, October 19th.
