Richmond, British Columbia-based business Adfilic has issued a warning to consumers regarding uncertified iPhone lightning cables. They claim these uncertified cables can break down in a matter of days or weeks. The company is proud to announce that they have received MFI certification for their lightning cables, and as such, it is hoped that more people will be able to afford the best lightning cable for their needs and avoid the problems encountered with cheap but non-certified cables.
"We are so proud to have received MFI certification," says James Chien from Adfilic. "This really proves that our iPhone cable is fully compliant with the Apple regulations and that it will therefore not break down."
Many $5 versions of the lightning USB cable are also available on Amazon. However, many of these are uncertified, and as a result, Adfilic claims they will break down very quickly.
"I can see why so many people would go for the cheaper option, not realizing that the certification is important. They're significantly cheaper than the versions available from the Apple Store. But in the end, they can still get something for less money than you'd pay at the Apple store and still get that same quality, too. With the certification, it's really just wasted money," says Chien.
The Adfilic cable provides an Apple standard cable at an affordable price.
Since its release, their cable has earned its share of positive reviews. "I am so glad this is one of the cables I got," says Melissa Novac. "It's awesome! It's thicker than other cables I've used and seems like it truly is a high quality cable. It charges my phone extremely fast. Being MFI certified, I don't have to worry about an error on my phone saying it isn't supported."
The Adfilic cable is 3.3 feet (one meter) in length, longer than a standard cable. It allows for fast data transfer and charging and comes with a lifetime money back guarantee. It is fully compatible with iPhone 5 and 6, iPad Mini, iPod Touch 5th generation and iPod Nano 7th generation.
"This offer is only available while supplies last, so we encourage customers to get over to the store now in case we sell out," says Chien.
