Chicago based McDonagh Demolition, Inc. was invited by The City of Chicago to attend a conversation with Mayor Rahm Emanuel on infrastructure and capital investment. Held at the Chicagoland Laborers’ District Council Training and Apprentice center, the Mayor was able to speak on all the new changes coming to Chicago concerning the future of CTA’s infrastructure, as well as current and upcoming infrastructure projects in the City’s pipeline. The attendees had the opportunity to learn what the future holds for the City of Chicago, McDonagh’s Outreach Coordinator Laura Harris stated that McDonagh was honored to be included in this ribbon cutting ceremony which represented the City of Chicago breaking ground on the expansion of the Laborers Union Training and Apprentice Center on the Southside of Chicago. As a metaphorical ribbon, the mayor and other participants each shoveled a pile of dirt and tossed it away symbolizing the City moving forward and progressing for the benefit of its residents. Harris from McDonagh had the opportunity to spend a few moments with Mayor Emanuel and share in his excitement of this monumental event. Harris went on to state that McDonagh is proud to be a Union company and fully embraces the City’s efforts to helpl expand Union training.
