Vancouver Washington Fireworks Purchases Subject To New Sales Tax On July 1st

Marlow goes on to state, “That aerial fireworks are still available to sell in certain Vancouver locations, Camas and throughout Clark County. It’s important to note that although fireworks stores may sell fireworks beginning on June 28, they cannot be used until July 4 in unincorporated Clark County.”

The second law effecting firework sales is a new sales tax that goes into effect on July 1st, 2019. Effective this year is a sales tax that will apply to all fireworks being sold regardless of where one lives. Previously residents of Oregon (who don’t have a sales tax) were exempt from state taxes. Starting this year, the sales tax goes into effect on July 1st.
