BaySaver’s BaySeparator is a highly effective, state-of-the-art method for stormwater protection. This three-path system uses density and gravity to separate up to 80 percent of solids from runoff, which keeps it from entering clean waterways. During the first treatment, coarse sediments settle in the primary manhole, while other floatables move on to the storage manhole. This is where contaminants are trapped. Once free of sediment and contaminants, the flow passes through the separator unit, where it passes over the internal bypass plate to ensure the system doesn’t backup and recontaminate.
The BaySeparator is both cost-effective and easy to maintain. Once stormwater has passed through the three-path system, the contaminants caught within can easily be removed during routine maintenance.
