Best Rate Repair Joins California Inspection Association

Best Rate Repair has recently joined the San Diego chapter of California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA). Best Rate Repair is a San Diego company specializing in termite, deck and balcony inspection and repair. They work with homeowners, HOA's, and real estate professionals.

CREIA is a non-profit association providing resources for its members in the home inspection professions. It provides education and training. For Best Rate Repair to become a member, it had first to pass a rigorous competency test and accept their strict code of ethics. It requires an extensive 60 hours of continuing education, as well as 30 annual hours.

Best Rate Repair has been providing services in the San Diego area since 2002. They provide services such as wood damage repairs, structural improvements, new builds, and property maintenance repairs. Their estimators are trained on how to read and understand a Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) report that most lending institutions require before a home is financed in the state of California. Jeff Mudd has several years of experience in the construction industry having started as a termite inspector.

CREIA has asked Mudd to speak to inspectors and affiliates about deck safety. He will talk about what to look for during inspections. Mudd is one of two master deck builders in California earning his certificate as a Deck Master Professional from the North American Deck and Railing Association, NADRA. To receive the certification, Mudd had to complete four advanced courses and pass a test for each session. Mudd is also a long time member of NADRA. NADRA holds a Deck Expo for professionals such as deck builders, architects, designers, and home inspectors. Mudd will again attend the annual event to be held in Baltimore, MD. in October.
