Brancaster Stays announces that they are now offering a very unique type of bed and breakfast experience. Instead of telling their patrons what time to come and eat breakfast, they are now letting them self-cater their breakfasts at a time of their choosing. The management at this Norfolk, UK bread and breakfast says this is aimed at helping their guests create their own unique schedule and experience more privacy when they stay with them.

Brancaster Stays manager, Jude Olesen, had this to say about their decision to offer self-catered breakfasts, “These days when you operate a bed and breakfast anywhere in the world it helps set you apart if your services are unique. It’s even better yet if that uniqueness enables your guests to have a more enjoyable stay. That’s why we decided to try operating a self-catering bed and breakfast. It’s a concept that you very rarely get to experience when staying at a traditional bed and breakfast. So far this has been very well received by the guests that have stayed with us.”

Near Apartment Bedsit

Jude said the concept works well in their case because they are different to most bread and breakfasts that are set up in a home. They have two separate apartments that guests stay in. This helps make their stay much more private and individualised compared with a more traditional home setup. Jude Olesen says their guests have the ability to get up at 5 am and go for a nature walk or sleep in late if they are on a romantic getaway. Neither of which will cause them to miss breakfast because there is no set time for it. Each apartment is stocked with breakfast foods that the guests can prepare and eat at their own leisure using their own kitchenette.

The manager says that one of the main attractions for those that stay with them is taking a walk in Brancaster Staithe. Jude says that Brancaster Staithe is one of the nicest coastal villages in all of the UK. It is very close to an abundance of open beaches, bird watching reserves, harbour and other scenic areas. There are also many stately manors in the area which have open grounds or feature tours of the property. Attractions that are within walking distance include The Harbour, The Norfolk Coastal Path, The Crab Hut, The White Horse, and the Dalegate Market which includes a Local Supermarket and Filling Station. Jude Olesen also said one of the areas most popular pubs, The Jolly Sailors, is located close by to Brancaster Stays.

Nearby attractions also include several well-known golf courses, tennis clubs, and places where one can get a boat ride to go seal watching or fishing. The area also has some of the best upscale and casual restaurants that can be found on England’s east coast. The manager also said that many people just park their cars once they get there and don’t get back in them until its time to go. That’s because of the abundance of walking, hiking, and bike riding trails in the area. She says many guests also choose to use the convenient Coasthopper Bus Service to explore all the nearby areas of the North Norfolk Coast.

Jude says that the apartments are very modern in nature, clean, warm and roomy with Super-King sized beds. Each features smart TV and Wi-Fi. They also have nicely decorated ensuite bathrooms that come complete with an oversized shower. Both apartments are located at ground level and have parking right next to their entrances.

The manager went on to add that they only have simple house rules. This includes the fact they do not allow any pets or children if they are not in their teen years. Check-in time is at 3 pm and checkout time is at 10 am. She went on to add that they will do everything in their power to ensure that their guests have a pleasant stay at this bed and breakfast that’s located by the Norfolk Coast Path. This includes giving them directions to nearby attractions, suggesting popular dishes to eat at the local restaurants, and even pointing out some interesting lesser-known places in the area to visit.
