LOS ANGELES – ZOE International, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for child trafficking victims in Southeast Asia and the U.S., is pleased to announce its partnership with GV Concepts, Inc. as the first in-the-field user of the Doctorgram application.
Doctorgram allows immediate, personalized access to physicians and other healthcare providers to patients in remote areas where access is otherwise severely limited or non-existent. The downloadable application connects doctors with their patients remotely via video conferencing on smartphones and tablets.
In addition to permitting real time video, audio, or text exchange between patient and doctor, the Doctorgram team develops medical devices to enable doctors to perform checkups remotely. These include a stethoscope and a special magnifying lens for skin and other issues, all of which can be attached to an iPhone or other smart phone. Moreover, Doctorgram is compatible with existing examination tools including Bluetooth Pulse Oximeter, Bluetooth Blood Pressure meter, Bluetooth Glucose meter, and Bluetooth Thermometer.
Patients’ records and medical history, stored by Doctorgram in a secure HIPAA-compliant environment, can be instantly accessed by the healthcare provider as he or she consults with patients.
Doctorgram is the brainchild of Mr. Ching-Kay Chow, founder and president of GV Concepts, Inc. headquartered in San Jose, California. Prior to GV Concepts, he had over 30 years of extensive experience in software design and management in Silicon Valley. Mr. Chow held senior and management positions with OKIDATA, Ectiva and Broadxent (subsidiary of Creative Technology).
