Menifee, California, based BarkWiki showcases a new element on their appealing, completely responsive website for dog afficionados, which enables owners to contribute some happiness during the current pandemic everyone is facing in the USA. The goal of this new feature is to reach dog lovers across the globe in a far-reaching and heartwarming way. Since the internet is the only safe alternative to gather with the current stay-at-home orders in most parts of the country, they wanted to help others share and feel great about the unconditional love people receive from pets.
The new element on their site invites dog owners to submit stunning dog pictures or videos of their pup, along with a heartwarming story of how they met. After BarkWiki receives the submission, they construct a beautiful post with the dog’s story along with its picture or video. The post is then available to view on all their social media accounts, which includes Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.
BarkWiki hopes to bring new animal lovers to their site and social media pages through the sharing of these posts. Followers are encouraged to converse with fellow dog enthusiasts on the posts through comments. It is the website’s hope that through the spreading of these stories, a community will be built virtually.
Thanks to the hundreds of dog submissions received so far, the BarkWiki site and social media pages have a pet story everyone can relate to through their own experience. Whether it is funny and amusing or heartbreaking, there is a story for everyone to read. One such story is that of Hope, a female Labrador Retriever. Hope was originally abandoned with her puppies on the side of the road after being abused. Rebecca adopted Hope from the rescue that saved her, and she is blessed to have a happy, healthy forever home now.
Another story of a sweet Shih-Poo named Ebony is featured on social media. Linda, Ebony’s owner, details how she rescued the pup from a family that did not want her due to the fact she was pregnant. “Ebony has been living the good life for the last 3 years. She gives us hours of joy and entertainment. She loves her toys, morning walks, and road trips in the car. She loves her belly rubs, back scratches, and giving kisses to her humans as well. She has definitely fulfilled the loneliness of our other rescues after they crossed that rainbow bridge,” says Linda. It is heartwarming stories like Ebony’s that bring joy to real dog lovers.
Despite all the tear-jerking stories on their social media pages with happy beginnings, there are also some cute stories to enjoy. Mia, a sweet Miniature Schnauzer, has one of those stories. Mia is a fun-loving, adoring little dog that loves to go everywhere with her owner, Tammy. Mia even loves dressing up and showing off her little outfits. “Mia loves everyone and is a total diva,” Tammy muses.
Following the introduction of this brand-new element on their site, BarkWiki hopes to offer a little bit of everything to the wide range of canine owners across the USA. Other features include of link to a comprehensive directory of veterinarian offices, dog health insurance, and no-kill shelters across the nation. In-depth information on dog health care and breeds is also available. Visit Barkwiki’s website to learn more.
