Company’s Design is Recognized As The Best Multifamily Model Home Category.

Newton, Massachusetts—The Green Company, a Newton-based home builder of clustered attached home communities, optimizing the beauty of open space and natural surroundings throughout Eastern Massachusetts, announced it has won the 2019 Best Multifamily Model Home Silver award in The Nationals, the National Association of Home Builders' (NAHB) largest and most prestigious awards competition recognizing outstanding achievement in several categories that include model homes, homebuilders, and communities.

The Green Company Wins Silver NAHB Award

The Green Company's Fresco 6 model multifamily home was recognized for its design that incorporates natural light, a single level open floor plan, and private courtyard entry.

"We are very honored for one of our home models to be recognized as a Silver award recipient in the 2019 Nationals,” said President of Green Company home-builders Dan Green. "As competition in this annual awards ceremony is quite steep, it's a testament to our commitment to keep designing homes and communities that “create environments for living.”

The Frescos are available at Hatherly Rise at The Pinehills in Plymouth, and will soon be offered at our newest neighborhood, The Homes at 45 in Westwood. They offer maintenance-free living, private courtyards, open floor plans, two-car garages and second floor guest spaces. All Green Company homes are built in harmony with their natural surroundings and with proximity to convenient shopping and dining in mind.

The Green Company is a recipient of several other national awards in the home design and construction industries dating as far back as 1979. Their Fresco 1 and Fresco 3 home models at Dudley Brook Preserve in Sudbury, Massachusetts won gold awards in 2015 in the NAHB's 55+ Living Awards. The company's Fresco and Portico homes at The Pinehills have won more than 20 national and regional awards in just the last five years.

About The Green Company

The Green Company has been creating “Environments For Living” for over 60 years. The company’s roots date back to the 1950s when Green Brothers Realty began investing in real estate. The company would soon build its first homes in Marlborough and Northboro MA.

Founder Alan J. Green built its first community of single-family homes, Great Harbors, Falmouth, MA in the 1960’s. Recognizing the beauty of open space and the natural environment, The Green Company began creating communities of clustered attached homes to maximize the views of water, meadows or woods. The bright open interiors, expansive views and natural settings emphasized the feel of a single family home, creating a true sense of harmony and privacy that would become the signature of a Green Company Neighborhood.

Several completed Green Company communities can be found throughout Massachusetts.
