Pensacola Plantscaping Company Wins “Most Outstanding Florida Landscape Award” In Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association International Competition

Pensacola, Fla. – The Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA), the nation's largest state nursery and landscape association, recently announced the winners of its 2019 International Award Competition. Landscape contractors, designers and architects were recognized for their outstanding projects which included New Landscape Installations, Renovations, and Maintenance Undertakings. A Pensacola plantscaping company, Heroman Services Plant Company, is proud to share the results of the competition.

Heroman Services Plant Company won three of the top awards, including the industry’s most prestigious landscape award, the Roy S. Rood Award for Most Outstanding Landscape in the State of Florida.

Pensacola landscape contractor for the project was Heroman Services Plant Co. and Outdoor Expressions, Atlanta, GA. The design was created by Landscape Architects Cerys Heroman, RLA, Heroman Services Plant Company, and Allan Sturletz, RLA, Creative Scapes, Inc.

“The objective was to create from over an acre of undeveloped waterfront property a Mediterranean landscape to complement a recently renovated, nineteenth century-inspired Spanish farmhouse,” Pat Heroman, owner of Heroman Services stated.

Heroman Services also received The Floriculture Award, judged to be the entry showcasing the most effective use of plant material creating color and texture in the landscape and the Landscape Installation/Renovation Award for residences.

The FNGLA Landscape Awards Program was established in 1970 to recognize landscape excellence in Florida. Forty-nine years later, FNGLA is still celebrating "the best of the best" by recognizing projects and businesses which excel in creating some of the best landscapes in the state.
