As the soil becomes damp it expands. This can cause a number of issues, such as driveways becoming unlevel and cracking or cracks in the foundation of a structure.

According to Lee, these are all considerations that should be evaluated by any concrete contractor you're considering. Lee notes, "These factors could have an effect on the quality of workmanship in a few months or years." Obviously, the last thing any homeowner wants is for a freshly poured concrete pad to become damaged just after being poured.
