Latest Real Estate Report Now Up In LowCountry Home Magazine

The latest real estate report for South Carolina is now up on the website of LowCountry Home Magazine, the Premier Home Builders Publication.

The August Real Estate Report, made possible by HiltonHead360, Lowcountry Living & Real Estate, and the Hilton Head Association of Realtors, aims to provide SC residents a glimpse of the current housing market. The report shows that the housing and stock market remains a strong driver of the economy. It also showed that showings and pending sales remained at strong levels in the past month.

The August 2020 residential market snapshot based on the data provided by Hilton Head Area Realtors showed that there were 689 homes in the new listings for the regional level. It is 14.8 percent higher compared to August of last year. In Hilton Head Island particularly, 169 detached homes are in the new listings, as well as 144 new condos and villas. However, in Bluffton, it is slightly lower with 239 this year.

Closed sales for August have also increased in the regional market, and in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island, the report showed. The market snapshot published on the website of the Leading Media Company in Bluffton, SC, also showed that 685 homes were sold in the regional market. Hilton Head Island recorded the highest increased closed sales with 178 detached homes sold, and 128 for condos and villas, while 260 homes were recorded in Bluffton.
