NSR Of Asheville, an Extended Care and Sober Living Environment for Men seeking Recovery from Addiction in Asheville, North Carolina, is wishing a new and fresh addiction-free new year beginning for everyone. They are encouraging those suffering from addiction to reach out and join the recovery community. The program states that its goal is to equip young men suffering from addiction issues with the tools for happy, healthy lives. Interested participants can read more about their Extended Care Recovery Program at https://NSRofAsheville.org/.

The Recovery Program offers a judgment-free zone for men to come together and help each other through their problems with substance abuse. Substance abuse challenges are best addressed with unique solutions. NSR of Asheville states that through its program they help men reclaim lives of meaning, value, and responsibility. Their addiction treatment programs for men facilitate the transition from detox or inpatient rehab to lifelong self-sufficiency. They use a combination of clinical therapy, structure, and community to establish order amidst the mental chaos of addiction recovery.

Their addiction treatment program equips men with interpersonal skills that can help to repair relationships. According to the program’s observations, in a family unit, the one who is addicted is not the only one that needs healing. Addiction takes a tremendous toll on families who often struggle for years with the emotional, financial, and physical consequences of untreated addiction. Recovery often includes a relapse, job loss, and tumultuous relationships. These patterns can rapidly snowball particularly when families don’t get support for their own recovery process. Even the best recovery programs can fail to heal long-standing family trauma without complete buy-in. Interested participants can contact the program through the link: https://NSRofAsheville.org/get-started/.

They provide various customer testimonials that vouch for the service that they provide. A testimonial from Z.A. says “I am so grateful for NSR of Asheville and all the staff members. This is definitely the place I needed to come after I got out of treatment. Here I got connected to the recovery community in Asheville and made some good friends here at the houses. They have not only taught me what I need to do to stay clean but I have learned so many life lessons while I was here. I will stay in contact with them because this place has given me my life back and for that, I am so grateful!”

A testimonial from S.A., a family member, says, “As parents of a young man who is struggling with addiction, it has been gut-wrenching, to say the least. After several inpatient treatments and other facilities, NSR of Asheville has been a godsend to us, as well as, to our son. NSR of Asheville is committed to helping residents transition into normal, addiction-free life. They do this by providing life-skills training and requiring several AA meetings each week. The program is designed to give these men back their pride and dignity. We have seen a change in our son. Probably the biggest difference with NSR of Asheville is they care. Susan and Mick have a place in their hearts for their residents, and they care about them. They want them to be successful. They have always been there for us and my son - anytime we needed them. They understand what the residents and their families are going through. You will not find a more caring, well-equipped, or safer place. God bless the staff and their work there.”

Admission to the program is voluntary and at the discretion of the NSR of Asheville. The program requires residents to commit to a minimum of 90 days; however, the average length of stay is 6-9 months. At 12 months, the length of stay will be re-evaluated by the Executive Director. All new applicants must submit and pass a background check application. The documents needed are a house contract and a release of information form, both of which are available for download. There is an admission application that can be submitted at an application portal. Applicants can scan and email completed PDF forms to susan@nextsteprecovery.com or print and fax completed forms to (828) 350-9960. Applicants can even request a copy of these forms by mail by contacting the NSR of Asheville. More information about the process is present at https://NSRofAsheville.org/application/.
