Pensacola, FL – A Pensacola shipping store, the Warrington Pack and Ship Business Center, has announced that the United States Postal Service (USPS) is releasing a new line of stamps to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of Star Wars. The USPS plans to release the stamps on their website later this year.
The twenty new stamps from the US Postal Service will feature several beloved droids from the Star Wars franchise. Original droids such as C-3PO and R2-D2 will be featured alongside newer droids BB-8, D-O, and K-250. For now, the stamps will not cover any other characters from the Star Wars Universe, however, the blurred backgrounds of the new stamps will be a tribute to many of the famous settings from the movies, including Tatooine and the Cloud City.
The price of the new Star Wars stamps will be $0.55 each, or a roll of 20 for $11.00. As with all stamps, this new line may only be used in sending letters, postcards, and flat envelopes using First-Class Mail service.
