Michael A. Crist DDS, an orthodontist based in Houston, TX, that offers Invisalign services, has announced that his orthodontic office has launched two fall contests. Both contests are designed to encourage patients and staff to be creative. Secondly, they help to encourage healthy eating and nutrition. "Each year, we want to get our staff and patients involved in healthy teeth and in the community as a whole," says Jeanette, spokesperson for the orthodontic office. "We want to do this in a fun and entertaining way, which is why we have launched our two contests this year."
In the first contest, all staff members of the office will decorate a pumpkin. Patients are then ask to vote on their favorite one. All patients who vote will have their names placed in a pumpkin, and a winner will be drawn. Both the winning pumpkin maker and the voter whose name will be drawn will receive a prize. The dentist believes that this contest is a fun way to encourage creativity and fun.
The second contest is the Candy Buy Back program, called Project Gratitude. Dr. Crist participated in this program last year. Because of the sucess and overwelming response, he is pleased to hold the event this year too. Patients can go to the office between October 26 and November 5 and bring candy, which will be bought back by the clinic. One dollar will be paid for every pound of candy. All of the candies that are donated will then be sent to the troops overseas.
Dr. Crist says, "It is a great way for us to make sure that our young patients don't eat too much candy, particularly after Halloween. Most importantly, it allows us to support our troops, which is something they need."
