According to the latest news, Health Minister Greg Hunt stated that five specialist ADF COVID-19 vaccination teams will be sent into Western New South Wales to advance vaccine administration for high-risk communities administering.
Each team consists of 14 members, including medics, nurses and logisticians. Mr Hunt characterised the teams as "highly mobile, highly flexible" with a wide variety of skillsets to aid in areas other than just giving vaccines.
They should also need to take responsibility for patients or provide relief from work overloads in hospitals during this time when doctors are struggling under increased patient loads due to recent outbreaks overseas and within Australia's borders.
People have been advised against going outside and leaving their homes entirely if possible, given how quickly these diseases can spread among an exposed population.
