Near Native English Club Relaunched To Help Improve Non-Native English Conversation Skills

Sacramento, California based company, Accent on Speaking, has announced the relaunch of their internet-based Near Native English Club. The club is for adults who have learned English as a second or foreign language. Sheri Summers, the creator of the online club, had this to say about the launch: "We wanted to help people who already speak decent English, but who would also like to keep improving. Many of our members have finished English classes years ago and currently work in professional fields, but recognize they still have some gaps in their speech."

American English is the most widely spoken language in the world. Many companies around the globe encourage employees to train in English as a means of better communicating with clients and customers. Sheri Summers states that this is exactly what Accent on Speaking is about. She says, "Our goal is to help as many people as we can speak English fluently and confidently. The Near Native English Club includes Short English Lessons, every weekday, on topics that pertain to advanced English speakers. There is also a live weekly Question and Answer session, giving instant assistance for those struggling to understand certain English words or phrases.

Each week, members are provided with new English Challenges, which can include voicing opinions, and completing various tasks to improve their English. Members who participate are awarded points and prizes that can be used in other aspects of the club.

The company has the goal of striving to make learning English fun, and regular interaction is provided to keep motivating members and keep them learning. A members' only Facebook group is also provided upon enrollment. This Facebook page connects club members with other members, as well as teachers and instructors from the club. Interaction is done in the English language so that members get more practice writing and understanding the language.
