Black Helm Entertainment, which is currently engaged in a publishing initiative that involves bringing several sci-fi book series to market, today announced the release of the Star Angel pentalogy (five books) under their banner. The books are being released through their Amazon channel. CEO of Black Helm, Philip Jepsen, reports that the series has been completed and that the release schedule is locked down.
“The first two books have been through final editing and proofing, and are now up on the site,” says Mr. Jepsen. “For the publication of the series we chose to use the resources of our Amazon channel because, frankly, Amazon's publishing technology has matured to the point that it’s on par with just about all other channels, whether old guard publishing houses or more modern print on demand (POD) outfits. Printing through Amazon is on demand, which saves huge resources and cuts waste, and the quality of the final product is of a premium standard. And, of course, their marketing and distribution horsepower is without peer. For this sort of enterprise Amazon just makes sense.”
Star Angel is a series of five books, or a pentalogy, by author David G McDaniel. It is an all ages (teen and up) sci-fi action story, which leans toward the young adult (YA) reader. The heroine is a teenage girl from Earth, who lands in the middle of an interplanetary, inter-race war and finds herself central to the unfolding of the conflict. The first two books, Awakening (Star Angel: Awakening), and Return to Anitra (Star Angel: Return to Anitra), have now been released, and the final three books are scheduled and queued in the editorial process. Book Three is set for a December release, Book Four in February of 2016, and Book Five will be released in April of the same year.
“We’re following an accelerated release schedule,” says Mr. Jepsen. “The books are written, so rather than pace it out we’re going for keeping the schedule hot to keep the interest and the demand high. This is a fantastic, rocket-ride series, sci-fi at its best, and we’re excited to have David onboard. We feel very confident this is going to be a hit with a lot of readers.”
Interested parties can contact Philip directly for info on the books or on Black Helm. A Team Star Angel site has been put up for fans to connect.
