This new line of SUVs includes the new X-Line and X-Line Limited trims, which add to the car’s rugged good looks and add extra confidence-boosting features for off-road driving. This includes custom wheels with special Michelin tires, an additional 1.5 inches of ground clearance, and terrain modes with special tuning for different kinds of terrain, to optimize the car’s travel over a variety of surfaces. The X-Line trim also features dual 12.3” displays for optimum entertainment and navigation, and quilted leather seats for traveling in comfort and style. Kia will also be releasing the EX Premium trim, which has standard All Wheel Drive and a powered Panoramic sunroof. The EX Premium comes with extra safety features, including front and rear parking sensors, and Kia’s “Smart Cruise Control” technology, which uses an intelligent radar to sense the distance to the next car, and automatically adjusts the vehicle’s speed to maintain a safe distance automatically, without further action from the driver.

The 2023 Kia Sportage has an entirely new look from previous generations of the car, with a tiger nose grille, daytime running lights in the shape of boomerangs, and a longer wheelbase than before. The vehicles also include upgraded engines, with several choices of engine depending on the driver’s needs. There’s the standard 2.5L 4 Cylinder engine which will be used in the gas powered Sportage, both the FWD and AWD models. Kia is also releasing hybrid and plug-in hybrid options for the 2023 Sportage, which will get a Turbocharged 1.6L 4 Cylinder engine that’s even more powerful than the standard engine. The new model also offers the most advanced safety features on the market, including eight standard systems in every vehicle and the ability to opt in to more than thirteen more driver assistance systems.

The standard driver assistance systems included in the 2023 Kia Sportage include a driver attention warning, that alerts the driver if they seem to be losing their ability to focus and maybe need a break from driving, and LED headlights for optimal visibility. The headlights have High Beam Assist, which detects oncoming or leading vehicles and automatically dims the high beams to avoid blinding other drivers with bright lights. Cars also come standard with Lane Following Assist and Lane Keeping assist which help drivers maintain their vehicle’s position in the middle of their lane while driving on the highway or elsewhere. The optional systems include various blind spot assistance systems, systems to help drivers stay within the speed limit wherever they are driving, and Smart Cruise Control systems that use information from the navigation system to proactively slow the vehicle before curves or changes in speed limits.
