Lebanon, Tennessee -
Lebanon, TN — OPMT Vision Centers has announced that Michael Durocher, O.D., is now actively practicing at their locations in both Carthage and Lebanon. The expansion of locations that Dr. Durocher practices at will help OPMT Vision Centers reach more patients. Both locations provide their respective communities with high-quality care in a technologically advanced facility, and the extended availability of Dr. Durocher will allow him to create deeper relationships in Lebanon, something that was planned when he initially joined OPMT Vision Centers.
“We always planned to have my nephew, Dr. Michael Durocher, work between the two locations in Lebanon and Carthage,” said Richard Durocher, O.D., the owner of OPMT Vision Centers. “Our Carthage patients love working with him, so we thought our Lebanon patients should also have access to his quality care.”
Dr. Michael Durocher earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing at Cumberland University in Lebanon. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry at the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Optometry.
“What makes Michael a good fit for us is that he truly understands all the responsibilities that come with OPMT Vision Centers’ mission to provide world-class care,” added Dr. Richard Durocher. “As a practice, we see the eyes as an inlet to full-body health, and Michael’s nursing background helps him also take on that viewpoint. It has also made him a skilled communicator, something that’s essential for anyone working across two locations.”
“I am excited to begin working in Lebanon,” said Dr. Michael Durocher. “My uncle’s mission of providing incredible eye care services to our communities throughout middle Tennessee is a cause that’s very dear to me. In my view, the eyes are a fascinating and important part of our complete health — and I find it so rewarding to help others see better. My uncle has set a strong example when it comes to providing the utmost standard of care to patients, and I am determined to always follow it.”
When Dr. Michael Durocher joined OPMT Vision Centers, he was initially at the Carthage practice for a single day of the week. He is now actively working at both locations.
“It’s definitely a change, but it’s something I’ve been preparing for and am excited for,” said Dr. Michael Durocher. “I find a lot of purpose from helping people with their vision, so getting to do that with even more patients is something I have been looking forward to since I entered the optometric field.”
All OPMT Vison Centers locations are open and taking appointments for new and existing patients. Dr. Michael Durocher is taking appointments in Lebanon for new patients, as well as new and existing patients in Carthage.
