December 08, 2015 - PRESSADVANTAGE -
DiveAdvisor, a comprehensive communication network based in Cluster T, JLT, Dubai, which is tailored to the needs of the global scuba diving community and industry, has announced that they have launched a new online community platform on their website for divers to come together. The platform will also be used to share advice, information and guidance. The website can be accessed through http://diveadvisor.com/.
"We are so proud of the platform we have created," says Timur Khamitov from DiveAdvisor. "We already provide divers with the most extensive directory of dive sites, shops, certifications and marine life. Now, we have added a whole section where people can generate their own content in relation to diving."
Divers can now access the site in order to obtain real and trusted advice. This comes from the user generated content as mentioned by Timur Khamitov. It will include dive logs, reviews of dive sites and stores, as well as various other pieces of media, including extensive articles. Perhaps most important is that the site will also be used as a form of social media. This is what people have been raving about the most.
"I love the new site," says one diver. "It's like Facebook but then with a specific focus on diving. I'm already following a number of other divers and shops, and we can message each other using the completely safe and non-personal space. There is no better way to find out where to dive than from divers themselves, so this really is a cool feature."
The DiveAdvisor project is completely neutral. It is funded by independent entrepreneurs and is not linked to any trademark, company or brand. All the writers working for the organization are qualified and experienced divers themselves. They want to offer guidelines to help others choose the best destinations.
DiveAdvisor is committed to improving the world of scuba diving as a whole, while also making a meaningful contribution to protecting the planet. They want to unite the voices and actions of divers from all over the world in order to improve conservation efforts and money spent towards environmental protection.
