December 10, 2015 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

Inflector NZ Limited, a business in Auckland, NZ, is proud to announce that they have launched a brand new type of window treatments, which are actually based on a NASA design. WindowTreatments of this kind are quite unique to the world and are designed to give people greater control over how much light does come into their homes, as well as ensuring that they offer maximum energy efficiency.

"Our new window treatments exist in blinds, both rollers and verticals, or they come as a fixed panel," says David Rees from Inflector NZ Limited. "Fixed panels are an alternative to double glazing in retrofitting windows. We encourage people to contact us to find out more details about these window treatments and to see the benefits they can experience through them."

'Inflector', as the treatment is known, utilizes revolutionary technology. It stops 92% of harmful UV rays from entering a property, damaging furniture and human health. Furthermore, it also stops 80% of glare. As such, people can feel as if their windows are open, but without the glare and UV rays hurting their eyes.

The product is made of a carbon graphite and aluminum compound. This was originally constructed and designed by NASA for space exploration. It has been created with a UV barrier included and is guaranteed not to experience any degradation for 25 years. This is true whether used in blinds or for retrofit windows.

Those who have purchased the product so far have been very happy about the results. "Strawbery Banke Museum needed to bring sustainable practices to our 37 historic buildings," says Rodney D. Rowland, Director of Special Projects and Facilities at Strawbery Banke Museum. "These practices have to be sympathetic to our mission of historic preservation. Solarize Inflector shades are a type of technology that wonderfully achieves this goal. The ability to keep the room interiors cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter while not damaging the historic fabric of the interior or impacting the visual appearance of the house exterior make this a perfect addition to this historic neighborhood."

The company has also released a YouTube video to better explain how retrofit double glazing works and what its benefits are.
