Dr. Ben Barnett Named New CEO of HOPE worldwide Non-Profit Organization

Atlanta, GA (July 24, 2023): The HOPE worldwide Board of Directors is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Ben Barnett to the role of CEO and President of HOPE worldwide. Over the past two years, Dr. Barnett has demonstrated exceptional abilities in connecting, inspiring, and motivating people to embrace HOPE worldwide’s mission and purpose. It is our honor and pleasure to welcome him into this well-deserved leadership position, and we are confident that under his stewardship, HOPE worldwide will continue to grow and better support our neighbors in need.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Ben served as an officer in the U.S. Army. He spent three years working in the pharmaceutical industry before becoming a full-time Church Leader in Atlanta. He holds a Master’s in Divinity (MDiv) and a Doctorate in Ministry (DMin) from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University.

He has used his talents to engage and serve a diverse range of communities around the world. Devoted to the ministry of healing and reconciliation, Ben has also completed Clinical Pastoral Education, served as chaplain intern for the Atlanta Veterans Medical Center, taught as an Adjunct Professor at the McAfee School of Theology, and worked as an Anger Management Instructor for Turning Point Family Counseling Services.

Over the past 26 years, Ben has volunteered his time and effort with the HOPE worldwide Atlanta Chapter in various roles, ranging from volunteer to Advisory Board Member. Married to his high school sweetheart, Tammi, for almost 30 years, Ben is a father to three children: daughter Peyton, son, Trey, and daughter, Jordan.

Dr. Barnett's spiritual leadership and proven work of service to those in need has allowed him to continue making an impact as part of the HOPE worldwide executive team where he has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Evengelist. His unwavering dedication to our cause and passion for transforming lives through loving our neighbors aligns perfectly with our core values, making him the ideal choice to guide us into the next stages of growth for HOPE worldwide.

As we embark on this new chapter, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dave Malutinok for his years of faithful service. His leadership as CEO played a pivotal role in guiding HOPE worldwide through some of the most significant moments in its history, including the global pandemic, during which HOPE worldwide became a major source of support for tens of thousands of people around the globe. He also spearheaded groundbreaking work in Ukraine that forged major new partnerships and enabled HOPE worldwide to raise tens of millions of dollars in aid. We are grateful for the legacy Dave has built and the foundation upon which we can build an even greater impact in the future.
