Schuylkill Township, Pennsylvania -
Pennsylvania Recovery Center, an intensive outpatient detox and rehab clinic in Phoenixville, PA, has announced that it is partnering with New Life Medical Addiction Services, a drug and alcohol detox and treatment center in Marlton, NJ.
Pennsylvania Recovery Center will henceforth provide marketing and admissions support to New Life, helping the latter onboard individuals who are struggling with addiction and need compassionate care to help them overcome their demons. New Life uses state-of-the-art medical interventions, combined with counseling and therapy to treat drug addiction, alcohol use disorder, and mental health issues that accompany substance abuse issues.
“When we established New Life in 2018,” says Dr. Joseph Savon, the Medical Director, and Founder of New Life, “we recognized that there were many shortcomings in the approaches used to treat drug addiction and alcohol abuse. We believe that everyone deserves high-quality affordable care from skilled and credentialed staff delivered in upscale and ‘home-like’ environments. It is our professional commitment to alleviate the devastating consequences of substance use and bring hope back into patients’ lives.”
As opposed to expensive and inconvenient inpatient detox and recovery at a remote facility, New Life offers an intensive outpatient program so that patients can go through their treatment while staying at home and continuing to work or study. Its range of outpatient programs includes drug rehab, alcohol rehab, drug detox, alcohol detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial care (PC), traditional outpatient programs (OP), psychiatric & psychological counseling, peer counseling, group counseling, and ongoing patient monitoring.
Dr. Savon expounds on why IOP makes the most sense for the center’s patients by saying, “The IOP program can make a world of difference for those who have been afflicted with addiction as well as those living with co-occurring mental health concerns. It provides a much-needed holding environment for individuals seeking to build a firm foundation for a new way of living. Frequent contact with the center’s professional practitioners provides individuals with brief periods of separation from former routines that resulted in alcohol or drug use. IOP services are also educational. Group participants develop a knowledge base about the disease of addiction and its manifestation as they collaborate with others who share a similar struggle. Their expanded emotional range then leads to greater affect tolerance which is a vital coping strategy to reduce the risk of relapse.”
New Life also employs the latest in telemedicine and advanced patient intake at its facility. The clinic’s professionals are available for appointments either at the office or through Zoom or other remote telemedicine service providers. Moreover, the clinic’s staff members are also available to help patients 24/7. New Life can take New Jersey Medicaid, and Medicare, and is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield Horizon addiction treatment.
The center’s founder, Dr. Savon, has extensive experience in healthcare and leadership that speaks for itself. He has been a New Jersey Top Doc, a member of Who's Who, and an esteemed member of the New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia medical communities for over 35 years. After completing his medical degree at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University, he completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia.
After establishing himself as a renowned gastroenterologist and founding the Endocenter at Voorhees, where he performed nearly 50,000 medical procedures, he became increasingly concerned by the country's growing addiction crisis. So, he took it upon himself to become an expert in proven medical approaches to managing addiction. He sought further education and credentialization in the medical management and treatment of addiction to opioids, alcohol, and other addictive substances. He is now a member of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the sub-specialty of Addiction.
