The screenwriting duo of Ben Meyer & Heike Havermeier are pleased to announce that they have joined Resilient Film Studios LLC. Passionate about film and media as well as the creative process that fuels many of their favorite works, both now look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with Resilient.
Heike Havermeier once believed that her childhood dreams of becoming a writer would not come to pass. Earlier in her life in Germany, she turned instead to an academic career in linguistics, a field she proved to be incredibly proficient in. Having earned a Master's degree, she moved to Sweden to obtain her PhD from the University of Gothenburg. This was in 2016, and her first brush with filmmaking would come not long after.
According to Havermeier, her interests as a language teacher led her to work on ‘Nicos Weg,’ a series that was designed to give learners an accessible way to progress through their language goals. Shortly after this foray into the industry, she had a fateful meeting with Benjamin Meyer.
For his part, Meyer has been involved in performance art in one capacity or another since his adolescence. Having grown up with many of the most prominent television series of the 80s, he developed a desire to revive the stories and spirit of that era in today's time. Initially, he practiced his art by contributing to songs and playing guitar for the band, Alu'Regencape. The band enjoyed moderate success among local fans during its heyday but would eventually disband forever.
However, he has been acting in various scripted reality series for German television for over a decade. When Ben Meyer and Heike Havermeier met in late 2019, they discovered a shared innate fascination for storytelling across various genres and media. This led to their decision to collaborate as screenwriters.
Today, their unique talents and creative prowess make them a formidable team. They are also a couple, and they approach both their personal and professional lives with equal zest and enthusiasm. Instead of their different backgrounds holding them back, the two have found their skills are complementary, and this makes them highly effective as screenwriters.
Resilient Film Studios LLC has made it their mission to connect with creatives like Heike Havermeier and Ben Meyer as they believe this is the best way to ensure they will be at the forefront of the industry’s leading films in the years to come. The filmmaking industry, the studio says, is all about talent, and no team can survive (let alone flourish) without understanding this. The people behind the camera drive film development as much as those on the screen, and this means it is vital to collaborate with sharp minds that can penetrate the fabric of society and uncover new stories that are worth sharing.
Meyer, for instance, has always been fascinated by the relationship between humanity and AI, and dreams of telling a story about this in his screenplay and bringing it to life on film. Given recent developments in the tech and creative industries, this stands to be a prominent topic of discussion for the foreseeable future, and given Meyer has been working on the idea for much longer than it has been a mainstream topic, the work he produces on the subject may have a distinct advantage.
This is only one example of the immense strength a studio stands to wield when supported by talented individuals, says RFS. The studio is committed to continuing its search for more talent, and interested parties are welcome to get in touch today if they wish to consider putting their unique skills to use in the filmmaking industry.
Resilient Film Studios LLC is fast on its way to becoming a global name with a reputation for creations that push the industry forward, and they are excited to work with everyone who has similar goals. For now, they invite the community to learn more about Meyer and Havermeier for a glimpse of what the future may hold. See more here: Ben Meyer and Heike Havermeier Bio.
