The Dead Rabbit takes pride in operating a multi-awarded top quality bar in New York, NY. The Irish pub is located in a five-story, nineteenth century townhouse and offers three different kinds of drinking and dining experiences with The Parlor, The Taproom, and the Occasional Room. In the Taproom, the focus is on craic, in The Occasional Room tavern traditions are the specialty, and in The Parlor cocktails are the focus. The top-notch quality of the bar service provided is attested to not only by the several awards they have received but also by the five-star reviews they have been receiving from customers. The bar service has an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars after receiving more than 6,500 Google reviews.

In a recent review, Clara M. gave them a five star rating and said, “I love coming here. Obviously, I have to have the Irish coffee because it is freaking delicious! The frozen version is genius! Melissa and Sean are so amazing and I love seeing their faces whenever I visit this cozy bar. Food is yummy and perfect for all seasons. Why is the lamb shepherd’s pie so delicious?! Oysters always on point. Super super recommend. They always make us feel welcome.”

The Dead Rabbit best pub

Sean Muldoon from The Dead Rabbit says, “Each of our three floors offer a distinctly different experience. For bottled punch, mixed drinks and lively service, visit the Taproom. For a cocktail menu like no other, join us in the Parlor. For private events, The Occasional Room is available for up to 60 guests. Better yet, visit all three. Fear not. Our food menu, famed Irish Coffee and Irish Whiskey list are available on all floors.”

The Taproom offers traditional Irish pub fare that is served along with their popular Irish Coffee, tavern-inspired cocktails, and bottled punch. Every Sunday, they host a live Irish seisiun. Meanwhile, The Parlor offers 16 kinds of cocktails that are made using house-made ingredients and creative techniques. It should be noted that while The Dead Rabbit expands nationally, The Parlor will only be featured at their 30 Water Street location in New York City.

The Occasional Room offers the very best of The Dead Rabbit in just one room. It is available for private use. Their third floor at 30 Water Street has a capacity for up to 60 guests with food and drink packages available and custom-fitted to specific needs and preferences.

Also available at The Dead Rabbit in New York City is the Green Room, which was formerly used as a rehearsal room by musicians who wanted to prepare for their gigs at The Taproom. At present, it is used as a walk-in-only bar. It features photograph and artwork that focus on traditional sessions in small-town pubs, emerging artists honing their trade, globally recognized Irish talent, and buskers on city streets.

Established in 2013, The Dead Rabbit offers top quality bar service in New York City. It was launched by Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, who already had founded a cocktail bar that was considered the best in the home city of Belfast, Ireland. Inspired by the achievements of the Dead Rabbit gang, who were the first Irish immigrants to see the potential of lower Manhattan and had protected the immigrant Irish underclass from the nativist Bowery Boys, they named the pub after the organization led by John Morrissey, who was a world champion prize-fighter and a businessman, congressman, and senator. The Dead Rabbit has already won eight Tales of The Cocktail Spirited Awards since its launch, as well as the World’s Best Bar twice. Jack, who has led the bar service since 2022, has also been named Best International Bartender. The Dead Rabbit expects in the near future to expand nationally. It has already opened new locations in the country, such as The Irish Exit and The Dead Rabbit Austin, which is scheduled to open in 2024.
