Murray, KY — Jarvis Vision Center has announced that they are to host their second annual Summer Fest on Saturday, September 7th. The family-friendly event will begin at 10 a.m. The second annual Summer Fest will take place outdoors at Jarvis Vision Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. With their second Summer Fest, Jarvis Vision Center reaffirms their commitment to the local community, with the event’s child-centric focus highlighting what a valuable contribution and presence they have made in the area, especially for families.
“We’re very excited to be hosting our second annual Summer Fest,” said Reed Jarvis, O.D., founder and optometrist at Jarvis Vision Center. “We always look forward to any opportunity we have to bring the community together, and there’s no better way to enjoy the summer than time spent in the sun with family and friends! It’s also our first time hosting the fest on our property, which takes some of the edge away for any kids coming in for eye exams for back-to-school season.”
The Summer Fest will feature food, giveaways, games, and prizes for the whole family to enjoy and participate in. The previous Summer Fest featured a bouncy house, with plans to incorporate more outdoor fun this year. Children can enjoy balloon animals and face painting during the fun day, with competitive games being a staple for adults.
“It’s a great opportunity to have some fun in the sun. Especially now, being present and outdoors is something many of us are often missing,” continued Dr. Jarvis. “We really want to encourage people to adopt healthy habits and stress-relieving activities, and fostering community engagement has shown to be a successful method for us doing that. And kids especially need a good dose of sunlight to ensure healthy ocular development!”
Previous Jarvis Vision Center community-centered events include a recent Mother’s Day giveaway. The practice has built its reputation on their ability to bring together Murray residents and create an exceptional experience for patients, inside and outside the examination room.
“It’s an honor to be in the position that we’re in,” added Dr. Jarvis. “The trust that our patients put into us with something so essential — their vision and eyes — and that of their families, it means the world to our entire team. We’ve built something truly exquisite with the bonds we have, and this festival is our way of giving back and showing our appreciation for our patients and wider community. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them, and I know that by taking the time to really find what works for our patients on an individual level is something patients are so grateful for that we just had to have Summer Fest again this year. It was such a hit last year, and we’re all looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.”
Jarvis Vision Center is open and taking appointments for new and existing patients. Summer Fest is open to all.
