Phoenix AZ: 25th Street Automotive and Bill Coniam, CEO are pleased to announce that they are winners of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) International Torch Award for Ethics. As a winner, candidates first are awarded a local Torch Award for Ethics offered by fourteen Better Business Bureau centers throughout North America. The winners demonstrate a superior commitment for exceptional standards that are a benefit to their communities, consumers, employees, shareholders and suppliers. The winners traveled to Washington DC to receive the awards.
The Award categories are designated by the number of employees in the firm. In the inaugural 2014 award. 25th Street Automotive was the only auto-based corporation to bring home an award. The winners' businesses must have a business history of more than three years, have a higher Better Business Bureau rating of “B” or greater and must demonstrate proof of meeting their financial obligations.
The 25th Street Automotive Team was also a multi-year finalist and 2013 winner of the Arizona Better Business Bureau (BBB) Ethics Award. This recognition is awarded annually to firms whose leaders demonstrate a high level of personal character. The principles of receiving the award include commitment to and communication of ethical practices at the personal and organizational level. The winners demonstrate ethical practices in human resources and commitment to the community.
In addition to ethical business practices awards, the 25th Street Automotive business holds awards from 2007 through 2014 from the Automobile Association of America (AAA) as a “Top Shop.” The shop is recognized as an Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Green Business. The facility also holds a National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Blue Seal of Excellence. This award indicates that 100 percent of the technicians are ASE certified. All technicians are expected to maintain an ASE Master rating.
According to CEO Bill Coniam, the company values the ethical and excellence awards highly and actively works to maintain the standards which form the basis of the recognition.
