EXOUS Bodygear who manufacture their unique original designed EX-701 adjustable performance knee brace have announced they are to produce a larger plus size to the US market in the first quarter of 2016.
The EX-701, now a popular knee brace which is selling several hundred units per week on Amazon.com, will be increased in specification to be positioned to fit individuals who have a larger anatomy around the calf, upper thigh and knee joint. The current model is only suitable for a maximum calf size of around 16.5 inches, but due to the success of the knee brace and consumers inquiring for a larger size a new one is now being developed with samples going for testing as early as mid-March.
The new size will have an increased patella opening by 10mm, a larger template area by 65mm and the support straps being extended by at least 2 inches to accommodate larger sized limbs. This new size should be suitable for people wholes calves are over 16.5 inches and their upper thigh over 21 inches.
Brand manager Mannie Kaur had the following to say: "We have had a considerable amount of consumers wishing we did a larger size and we are now in the first phases of getting the initial samples to these consumers who are helping us get the sizing right. We are kind of victims of our own success in many ways after selling the EX-701 so well it was only a matter of time we extended the product to cater for bigger sized people. We sold the product for a whole year in the UK we only had 1-2 people saying they needed a bigger size compared to over several dozen in the US. We hope to have a retail ready product by Mid April which will be available to the US marker through our online store and on amazon.com"
