La Romana-Bayahibe Tourism Cluster, a small business conglomerate in La Romana, Dominican Republic, is proud to announce that they are now promoting the La Romana Destination all over the world. Their focus is specifically on Europe, the United States and Latin America. More details are available on the Explore La Romana website.
The cluster Executive Director, Ana García, says: "We promote La Romana, as one top destinations and tourist attractions within the Dominican Republic, with a particular focus on sustainability. We are committed to making sure our island can continue to enjoy its natural beauty and diverse wildlife, while at the same time supporting tourism, the most important economic driver for the country. We encourage everyone to come visit us as soon as possible."
The Explore La Romana website is a promotion platform of the La Romana – Bayahibe Tourism Cluster and they have a number of clearly outlined goals. First of all, they want to facilitate the communication between local, national and international businesses and institutions related to the tourism industry. Also, they promote environmentally friendly practices to preserve the island's natural resources.
To achieve these goals, they are developing social programs destined for the communities living in the nearby areas. A number of community and social activities and projects have already been set up. These include the International Coastal Clean Up Day, the Bayahibe 10K Run, recycling tournaments in the La Romana - Bayahibe area, and the La Romana - Bayahibe Golf Tournaments.
To further introduce people to the important work that they do, they have launched the Explore La Romana Facebook page. This is an opportunity not just for people to find out about the various activities and projects, but also to share their own experiences while in the Dominican Republic. "Excellent," says Andrea L.V. "I went with my husband on our honeymoon 22 years ago and recently came back. There is just something about the landscapes, sea and people. It's the most beautiful place on earth. We hope to come back soon, bringing our two daughters this time."
The Explore La Romana Twitter page is another medium where people can share information and get to know more about the Dominican Republic and what it has to offer.
